Gotta Keep Reading

How cool would it be if Lincoln, Wood, or Chipman did something like this? To be honest, it would be cool if any of our Alameda schools did something like this. A school-wide reading campaign is something we can get behind!

Eva’s New Favorite Quote

March 8, 2010

Eva & John Green, ALA Annual, Chicago 2009

“Adult librarians are like lazy bakers: their patrons want a jelly doughnut, so they give them a jelly doughnut.  Children’s librarians are ambitious bakers: You like the jelly doughnut?  I’ll get you a jelly doughnut.  But you should try my cruller, too.  My cruller is gonna blow your mind, kid.”

–John Green, “The Future of Reading.” School Library Journal; January 2010.
